First Influenster Voxbox!

Image
**** Disclaimer: I was sent this product for free from influenster to review****  A couple of months ago a friend of mine told me about a website she had joined that sent her products to test for free in exchange for her opinion and suggested I sign up. I'll admit that I was a bit skeptical at first, but my curiosity got the best of me so I checked out the site and before I knew it I had created an account and was review products I use for other users to read.  Fast forward a little over four months after initially created my profile and I was sent my first voxbox. Inside was the Maybelline 24 hour superstay foundation for me to try and write a review on. After trying it out I wrote up my review for the website and decided I might as well write a blog post letting everyone else know what I thought so here goes nothing. I don't know if this last 24 hours, I only wore it for eight, but I will tell you that it stayed in place over the eight hours I wore it which i

10 favorite movies

Image
This list was actually a lot harder to narrow down than I thought it was going to be, but here it is, my 10 favorite movies. I'm interested in seeing if any of these are on your list and if not the what movies and if you've watched them, so without further ado here is my list.  10. For Keeps  Honestly I love all the movies Molly Ringwald stared in during the 80s, but I had to include this movie on the list because of how real they kept the story line. If you haven't seen this yet I recommend you find it and watch it, you'll love it!  9. Serendipity  I'm not sure what it is about this movie draws me in, but every time it's on I watch it. Part of the draw might be that John Cusack stars in it, I absolutely adore him!  8. GoodFellas   If you've seen it I don't think I need to explain why I love this movie, if you haven't seen it then you need to watch it. The actors are phenomenal, the story is interesting, and if you

Travel Bucket List

Image
If I could spend the rest of my life traveling around the world I would do it. My dream for as long as I can remember has always been to see as much of the world as possible during my lifetime. As a child I always loved Summer because it meant going on a family vacation and getting to see a new place. Even now I often feel like a child when I'm getting ready for my next vacation, no matter where I'm going there's always a child like excitement bubbling up inside of me. Since this is such a big dream of mine I decided to put together this travel bucket list and hopefully I'll be able to check off all the places little by little. So, here goes nothing... 1. England  I'm not really sure where my love of all things British stems from, but England is definitely at the top of my bucket list of places to go.  Kent Peak District Derbyshire Wilshire London Brighton Bath Stratford-upon-Avon  These are just a few of the places in Eng

Are You Ready?

I've never been one to shove my faith and beliefs down anyone's throat, so I'm going to give everyone a heads up now that this post will be about God, faith, and all that good stuff so if you don't want to read it then by all means leave now. If you're still here than thank you for giving this post a chance and I hope you're blessed by it. I was raised in church and my pastors are my grandpa & uncle. Reading that I know you're probably thinking I'm some good girl who thinks she's better than everyone else, but you couldn't be further from the truth. Just like everyone else I sin and make mistakes, but I still try to live everyday doing my best to please God. I actually found the quote above on Pinterest and wanted to share it with all of you because even though I know that I'm not perfect, I still try to live my life like this quote says. It's not easy but at the end of my life I want to know that I did everything I

3 of My Favorite Books

Image
Reading has been on of my favorite past times, even as a little girl there was something about reading a really good book that just did something for me. Now I that I'm older I'd say it helps fulfill the part of me that yearns to travel the world. It takes me away from my reality and transports me into a whole other world where I feel what the characters feel and get to go on a new adventure with every book that I read. So when I was thinking about what I should post next I thought what would be better than giving you all a list of some of my favorite books. It's going to be hard to narrow down but hopefully I've done a good job at picking the best of the best from my reading list and pass them on to you.  So here are my top 10 favorite books... (as of now lol) 1. Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen Pride and Prejudice is considered a classic for a reason. I never had to read this for school, it wasn't until I was in my early 20s that I sat down and

**Book Review** : The Wall of Winnipeg and Me

I had never read anything by Mariana Zapata before reading this, but now I'm eager to read her other work. Lately I've been in a sports romance genre kick and found this in a list of "sports romance" books to read on Goodreads and decided to check it out and I'm happy to announce I wasn't disappointed! :)  Vanessa Mazur has worked for pro football player, Aiden Graves for 2 years, and more often than not he drives her nuts. She's his assistant/cook but has bigger dreams than catering to someone else's needs, so she decided to quit and follow her dreams.  Aiden finds himself lost without Vanessa and shows up at her door 2 weeks after she quits. While Vanessa is shock to see her ex-boss at her doorstep she's even more surprise after she learns why he's turned up, he needs her help with something with high stakes for her. Vanessa is torn between helping out someone she took care of for 2 years and doing the 'right thing'.

10 Favorite Youtubers

Image
I started watching YouTube about 5 years ago, of course it's been around longer than that, but I didn't really get into it until sometime in 2012. Since then I've discovered a handful of youtubers that I follow so I thought I'd share my top 10 favorite youtubers with all of you and leaving links to their channels at the end of my little blurb about them.       10. Marcus Butler Marcus was actually the first youtuber that I watched and subscribed to. He has three channels which include "Marcus Butler", "MoreMarcus", and a gaming channel called "MarcusButlergames" that I don't think he has updated recently. I'm subscribed to his main channel and his "MoreMarcus" channel, but these days I find myself watching his MoreMarcus channel more than his main channel. Every now and then I'll still watch the occasional video on his main channel. The first video I ever watched was on his main channel of him and Alf

26 in 26

In honor of my 26th birthday which I recently celebrated, I've decided my first blog post will be 26 things I've learned in my 26 years on Earth. I hope you all enjoy a little insight into who I am and what I've learned, and maybe these will help you out along the way. So, let's get into it.... 1.  Be a leader, NOT a follower While I'll be the first to admit that this is easier said than done, there is a quote by Albert Einstein that I think sums it up best.   " the one who follows the crowd will usually get no further than the crowd. The one who walks alone, is likely to find himself in places no one has ever been." - Albert Einstein  2. Love yourself for who you are  There is and only ever will be ONE YOU! While we all have our quirks and flaws it's important to remember that before anyone else can love you, you have to love yourself.   3. Turn off your phone and look at the world around you  While this one isn't as deep as
